Croatia will not be among Filming Locations in Season 7

At the end of this summer, HBO has released their plans for season seven of Game of Thrones. As they said the beginning of the season 7 will take place later than usual. Now the new season is to premiere in “summer 2017” and no specific date has been given yet.

“Now that winter has arrived on Game of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing,” Casey Bloys says. “Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.”

The press release confirmed Spain and Iceland as overseas locations with Northern Ireland as the base. But Croatia isn’t among filming locations anymore. Read more on watchersonthewall
