Steps to Downgrade Windows 10 Pro to Home

Step 1:  Search “settings” and then move to “about”. Here you will see the Windows specification. Below, check the windows edition. But ensure first that you are using Windows 10 Pro edition.

Step 2: But first, you have to go to the Registry. Here in the search box type “Regedit” then right-click on it and run this and say yes, the new user account control.

Step 3: Here you will get the registry editor. Now go to the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” and pull it down. Then move to the“SOFTWARE” and pull it down also. After this go to “Microsoft”. Now see downwards and reach “Windows NT” and click on the “CurrentVersion”.

In the current version below the “Windows NT” check towards your right-hand pane and   search for the “ProductName”.  Here you will find the “Windows 10 Pro”.  On “ProductName” double-click from the mouse, and through typing change the “Windows 10 Pro” to “Windows 10 Home”. After doing this press “OK”.

Now you will witness the “edition ID ”. From the right side change professional to the core and again click on OK. You have to do more changes which will be explained in step 4 below.

“Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion” Copy, and paste this location in the address bar. In this way, you will be able to go to the location quickly.

 

Step 4 : Now again move to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” then go to “SOFTWARE” and then “Wow6432Node”. Here you’ll find “Microsoft”. Now go towards “WindowsNT”. Go inside the “CurrentVersion”. Search for the “ProductName” option from the right panel, and then “EditionID”. This is the same as we did in “Step 3”. After doing all this, close the Registry Editor. In short, we can write it as

“Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion”

Step 5: Now you need a media creation tool. For this purpose open Google, and in the search bar type media creation tool windows 10 pro. You can also download it from the Microsoft site. Click on any reliable link which will lead you towards the page of the media creation tool in Microsoft. Click on download. Step 6: After installation, open this application and move to the next stage. A page will open, here check

on the “Create installation media” and move further. Again, check the “Use the recommended options for this PC” and move to next. The next page has two options. Click on“ISO file” and go next. It starts downloading, so keep it in the download area and select “save”.  That’s it your windows 10 ISO will start to download. After opening the ISO file you will see, “Check Download and install updates”.  But at that time you don’t need this so click on “Not right now” and then move to Next. You will find the Windows 10 Home on there simply click on accept. Now confirmation will come that the Windows 10 Home is ready to install by keeping all your confidential data, and apps. Click on install, and wait till it finishes the installation process. It takes time, so wait patiently.

Step 9:When installation has been done, go to Desktop, and see those apps, and files which you want to keep. To make sure to go to the setting, then system, and about. There you will find the Windows confirmation you needed under windows specifications on the right-hand side.
